Terms of Service

1. What Parallax Research is

Parallax Research ("the Service", "we") publishes automated, AI-generated market research: on-demand company analyses, daily market scans, and macro briefings. The research is impersonal - identical methodology for every member, generated without knowledge of your financial situation, objectives, or holdings - and is provided for educational and informational purposes only.

2. Not investment advice

Nothing on the Service is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice; a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security; or an offer or solicitation of any transaction. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or fiduciary, and no adviser-client relationship is created by your use of the Service. Analyses are produced by AI systems and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Simulated or historical results do not predict future performance. Always do your own research and consider consulting a licensed professional before making investment decisions. You alone are responsible for your investment decisions and their outcomes.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account, be at least 18 years old, and keep your sign-in email secure (sign-in links grant access to your account). You are responsible for activity under your account. One account per person; don't share, resell, or programmatically scrape the Service.

4. Subscriptions, quotas & refunds

Paid plans are billed as recurring subscriptions through Stripe. Each plan includes a quota of analyses per period; unused quota does not roll over. Analyses that fail are not charged against your quota. You can cancel anytime from your account - access continues until the end of the paid period, after which your plan reverts to the free tier. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices with notice; changes take effect at your next renewal (founding-member pricing stays locked while the subscription remains continuously active).

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service: no unlawful use, no attempting to breach or overload it, no reverse-engineering, no reselling or redistributing reports at scale, and no automated scraping. Shared report links you create are visible to anyone with the link - share deliberately. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, and its software are ours. Reports generated for you may be used for your personal, non-commercial purposes, including sharing individual reports via the built-in share feature. Market data and news are sourced from third-party providers and remain subject to their terms.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied - including accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any trading or investment losses, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

8. Changes & termination

We may modify or discontinue features, or update these terms; material changes will be posted here with an updated date, and continued use constitutes acceptance. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may terminate accounts for violations of these terms.
